Diabetes Alert Dog Donations
Please reach out to Deb Dunlap, one of our crafters, by Email: deb.j.dunlap@gmail.com, or Find her on Facebook for options to donate. All donations go directly (and completely) to the fund. Sales from the site will go into the fund as well, but will also provide craft supply materials to continue producing. Thank you in advance!
Deb will be working with Diabetes Alert Dogs of America. They offer complete training and certification programs, which include everything needed to take the animal with me everywhere, essentially never leaving me in a situation where I could get into diabetic trouble.
Dog Fund Goal 1:
Amount Needed: $500
This is the initial deposit amount required to get on the waiting list.
Dog Fund Goal 2:
Amount Needed: $2,500 (totaling $3,000)
This completes the deposit and allows a dog to be picked out for the training necessary to be in service to the diabetic. (It usually takes about 6 months if the full deposit is paid at the beginning to wait for a trainable dog to be born and get started training).
Dog Fund Goal 3:
Amount Needed: $5,500 (Totaling $8,500) which can be made by payment arrangement in monthly installments.
This is required to be paid before the completion of training and pickup of the animal in Las Vegas, NV. There is a 2 day training course where the dog gets acquainted with their person and said person is trained on procedures and handling.
Dog fund goal 4:
Amount needed: $8,500 (totaling $17,000) which can be made by payment arrangement in monthly installments.
This completes the transaction and the dog is now officially mine.
